Overview: Alternanthera reineckii roseafolia is a beautiful stem that provides an effective contrasting look when coupled with many green aquarium plants. The purple color underneath the leaves make it a good mid-ground piece especially when planted in groups. A good light source will encourage the leaves to turn red. It is known that most Alternanthera species are difficult growers but this one is undemanding. Very easy to propagate – just nip off the terminal bid and plant it in the bottom.
